It's really funny how this song was not only created, but stayed in our lineup, and then eventually became one of our most requested songs to perform live.

In the fall of 2007, Nick and Robert hosted a weekly radio show and towards the end of its run, started just using that time to promote early T3 material on it. One show in particular had all nearly the entire band in the studio with an acoustic guitar and some bongos and were just jamming on the air. This song was the result of our guitarist at the time just saying "play a song about derek" "ok, then play some notes". The lyrics haven't changed since then, only the pacing and a little bit of the tune was altered when it went to a full band medley.
